Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, Gyeongbokgung Palace
This pavilion, located on a wide pond in western section of Gyeongbokgung Palace grounds, was routinely praised by foreigns envoys to Joseon Dynasty as the greatest sight in the kingdom. Its second floor was used for banquets on occasions of national celebration or when hosting important foreign ambassadors. Today, its serene presence gives no hint of the revelry that once took place there.
